Lately it’s been too cold to go outside so we’ve been on the hunt for some creative indoor activities! Here are a few toddler-tested and approved things to do with your tiny person. Most of these indoor activities require items you likely already have laying around the house, like an old sheet, used diaper wipe lids, or even a whisk from the kitchen. You can’t go wrong with a good sensory bag, or a cozy reading nook. When in doubt, a bit of noise-making is always a crowd-pleaser. Scroll down to check them out!

Being stuck inside with a small, mildly-insane toddler can be difficult so it’s good to have some ideas for indoor activities on hand for those situations. Sometimes simple is best, like banging some pots and pans, or building towers with blocks. If you need to get out of the house, we love going to the library for some free fun and to pick up some new board books. Sometimes they have a story-time scheduled, or a kids activity you can participate in. You also might consider visiting an arcade and just exploring all the flashing lights, or going on a grocery run and having your little helper place items in the cart. Good luck!
